Eileen Stoddard (Stanton) - Class of 1949

Eileen Stanton died October 11, 2011, in Auburn, Calif. She was 81.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Sierra Pines United Methodist Church, 22559 W. Hacienda Drive, Grass Valley.

She was born July 9, 1930, in Everett, Wash., to Ray and Pearl Stoddard.

Eileen's family moved from Everett to Montepelier, Idaho, where she spent her formative years. Eileen and her husband, Hugh, lived in several places. Eileen retired as a licensed Realtor at the same time Hugh retired in 1987.

They settled at the Lake of the Pines in Auburn, where Eileen was active in P.E.O., her church and other civic organizations. She was active at the LOP Tennis Club and an avid duplicated Bridge player. In the last 3 years, she resided in Oakwood Villages Assisted Living Community in Auburn.

She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter XC, Sierra Pines United Methodist Church, InterFaith Food Ministry and Habitat for Humanity.

Eileen is survived by husband, Hubert; son, Gregory Stanton; daughter, Leigh Anne Ford; grandchildren, Jackson Ford and Whitney Ford.

She is predeceased by her parents; brother Delwin Butterfield; sisters Reva Clegg and Evelyn Butterfield.
