Following a fall that resulted in a broken hip and surgery, Paul did not recover and passed away on July 30, 2022, in Monterey, California. Prior to this accident, he stayed active visiting his two children Suzanne and Michael and his granddaughter Riley. He continued to play a soprano sax as part of a saxophone quartet that performed in the Monterey area. He stayed in contact with members of his 1955 class and looked forward to class reunions. He enjoyed reminiscing with his siblings on weekly Zoom meetings about growing up in Montpelier. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen.
