Julie Hunter - Class of 2000

Julie Hunter, 15, daughter of Brent and Carolan Tripp Hunter, was killed in an automobile accident on January 17, 1997, while on the way with friends to a basketball game in Cokeville.

She was born December 21, 1981 in Logan. Julie was a very special spirit who loved everyone. She was a bright spot in everyone's life and was loved by everyone. She had a lot of friends and loved spending time with all of them. Small children and babies were one of her loves and she loved babysitting. One of her favorite things was cheerleading in middle school. She was a good student and loved learning. Music was one of her talents and loves. She played the piano and flute, sang with the "Showcase" group and the Bennington Ward Choir. She was always willing to help people and serve in any way she could. She was our little Sunbeam who brought light and joy into everybody's lives.

Julie is survived by her parents of Bennington, sister Keriann (Christian) Lambert of Bountiful, sister Kristin Hunter currently serving in the Montana Billings Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, brother Elder Jeremy Boyd Hunter currently serving in the Portugal Lisbon South Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sister Janene Hunter and twin brother Brent Hunter. She is also survived by grandparents Merlin Marland of Bennington and Boyd and Karla Tripp of Richmond, Utah, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Stephen and Ryan.

Funeral services were held January 21 at the Bennington LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Bennington Cemetery.
