Melba Nye was born August 25, 1902 in Paris , Idaho, the daughter of James Smith and Minnie Elizabeth Champneys Nye. She was a member of the class of 1925, however she did not graduate. She married Joseph William Hemmert September 18, 1924 in Logan, Utah. She died March 26, 1979 in Logan and was buried in the Logan City Cemetery.
