Polly Roghaar (Davis) - Class of 1925

Mrs. Polly Roghaar Davis 28, wife of Rulon Davis, 1161 Twenty-first street, died Friday night, December 28, 1934, at Twelve o'clock in a local hospital from complications resulting from childbirth. The baby died also.

Mrs. Davis was born in Ogden October 23, 1906, a daughter of Luke and Polly Taylor Roghaar. She resided in Ogden all of her life with the exception of seven years, when she lived in Grace and Montpelier, Idaho. She was a member of the Montpelier High School class of 1925, however she did not graduate. She was a secretary in the L. D. S. Sunday schools for many years and for the past four years, had been a teacher of the Y. W. M. I. A. in the Twentieth ward. She was married to Rulon Davis August 27, 1930.

She is survived by her husband, and a small daughter, Bonnie June: also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Laurence S. Burton, Andrew Roghaar, Ogden; J. T. Bell, Salt Lake City; Harold and Ruth Roghaar, Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. D. Taylor, her grandparents, also survive her, and her grandfather, Andries Roghaar in Groningen, Holland. Mrs. Davis' mother died June 10 of this year.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the Twentieth ward chapel with Bishop Aries G. Belnap conducting. Friends may call at the family residence Sunday afternoon and evening and Monday until the hour of services. Interment will be made in Ogden city cemetery under the direction of Lindquist & Sons. (clarification: J. T. Bell is the husband of Myrtle May Roghaar Bell, Polly's sister.
