Waldo Holmes was born in Montpelier May 20, 1903, the son of Joseph Hyrum and Sarah Elizabeth Holmes. He was a member of the class of 1920 however he did not graduate. He married Alice Helen Ridd June 10, 1927 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He died October 12 1986 in Walnut Creek, California and was buried in Colma, California.
