Jerry Hammans - Class of 1975

Jerry Dean Hammans, 30, died Wednesday, August 26, 1987 at the University Medica! Center in Salt Lake City. He was born December 15, 1956 in Longmont Coloradp to Rod and Sylvia Hammans. He attended schools in Denver Colorado; Riverton and Kemmerer, Wyoming; and Georgetown and Montpelier. He was athletic in school and enjoyed sports, especially football. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Following his graduation from high school he worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction. He worked for Dravo and Washington construction companies, FMC near Kemmerer, and for Newmont Mine in Elko, Nevada. He married Jean Merg Hipwell January 20, 1987 in Tucson, Arizona. He is survived by his wife and two stepsons, Tek and TJ, all of Clinton, Ut.; his parents, Georgetown; one brother, Mike, Georgetown; two sisters, Mrs. Jeff (Nancy) Talbot and Mrs. Rick (Kelly) Grunig, both of Montpelier; six nephews; and one niece. Funeral services were Monday at p.m. in the Georgetown LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery
