Lester Tueller - Class of 1955

Lester McDonald Tueller of Roy, Utah passed away on February 14, 2018 after an extended illness. He was 80 years old. Lester was born to William Von Almen and Azalia McDonald Tueller in Paris, Idaho.

He grew up in Geneva, ID. He graduated Utah State University in 1962. He found work as a probation officer in Ogden, Utah where he met Effie Gardner, his sister’s roommate. They were married on October 29, 1965, and moved to Sacramento, CA. They were blessed with three children. Lester and Effie were later divorced. On September 11, 1980, Lester married Beverly Jean White of Logan Utah. They were later divorced. Lester met Phyllis Price and were married May 7, 1999. They made their home in Roy. They would attend weekly dances and attend the theater and concerts. Lester was an active member of the LDS church serving as a High Priest, and Ward Missionary. He loved to help others, and always looked for opportunities to serve.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Roy, three children, Annette (Arthur) Jenkins of Spokane, WA, Maria Poole, of Rigby, ID, and Troy G. Tueller of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his step-children, Karen Price and Sheila (Ed) Banaszki both of Virginia. He had seven grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. His surviving siblings include, Mack (Maureen) of Logan, UT, Gay (Wayne) Price of St. George, Marva (Dick) Heaton, and Joan (Tom) Bingham of Ogden.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Viewings will be held at Myers Mortuary 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, UT Friday, February 16, 2018 at 6:30-8:00 PM, and prior to the funeral services at the Lakeview Ward 4900 S 2000 W, Roy, Utah from 9:30 -10:15 AM. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in the Providence Cemetery.
