Ernest Boehme - Class of 1954

Ernest Henry Boehme, 66, passed away at his home in Logan, Utah, on Sept. 28, 2000. He was born on Dec. 20, 1933, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Reinhold Henry and Flora Hedwig Loertscher Boehme. He married Ruth Perkins in Salt Lake City on August 17, 1953. They were later divorced.

Ernest was raised and educated in Geneva, Idaho. He worked at a variety of jobs in Border, Wyo., Phoenix, Ariz., Portland, Ore., Mesa, Ariz., and Logan, Utah. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in the Snake River and Yellowstone areas. During his later years, he liked to visit with people.

Ernest is survived by five sons and four daughters, Ryan (Susan) Boehme, Gilbert, Ariz., Teresa (Charles) Adair, Mesa, Ariz., Vicki (Shannon) Tracy, Crestview Hill, Ky., Tony (Lisa) Boehme, Mesa, Ariz., Valerie (Douglas) Opie, Mesa, Ariz., Leslie (Matthew) Goodman, Germany; Eric (Erikka) Boehme, Mesa, Ariz., Dana (Amy) Boehme, Mesa, Ariz., Keli (Katrina) Boehme, Mesa, Ariz., 36 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters and two brothers, Doris Gurney, Jeannette Race, Judy Allen, Liz Porter, Julie Goss, Ferris Boehme, and Dean Boehme. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Butterfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4 in the Smithfield 10th Ward chapel, 345 E. 300 South, Smithfield. Friends and family may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Smithfield 10th Ward. Interment will be in the Geneva, Idaho Cemetery
