Robert Dunford - Class of 1943

Robert Moroni Dunford, age 67, passed away December 8, 1992, in Endwell, New York while serving an LDS mission with his wife, Carol. His death was a result of a heart attack.

He was born June 5, 1925 in Bloomington, Bear Lake County, Idaho to Thomas Jefferson and Ruth Dora Hulme Dunford. He married Carol Arline Clark June 8, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in many church positions, including Stake Mission President, Bishop (Kaysville 2nd and 15th wards) and High Councilman. Most recently, he served as Stake Patriarch and a sealer in the Ogden LDS Temple. One of his most rewarding experiences was serving with his wife in the Missouri St. Louis Mission in 1988. From 1950-1952, he also served in the Eastern States Mission. He graduated from Fielding High School in Paris, Idaho, received his B.S. from USU, and his M.S. from BYU. He taught seminary for 11 years and was a counselor at Clearfield High School for 22 years.He is survived by his wife, and four children, Jefferson Thomas and his wife Willie; Charlotte and her husband Robert Neil Fischer; Robert Moroni, Jr. and his wife Jane; and Elizabeth and her husband Brent Clark Rose; 12 grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 14, 12 noon, at the Kaysville Stake Center, Fairfield Road, 555 North 100 East. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and Monday, at the stake center, 10:30-11:45 a.m.
