Maynetta Vance (Wright) - Class of 1936

Wyoming. Erma "Maynetta" Vance Wright, 97, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 in Taylorsville, UT. Born October 4, 1919 to Erma Doris Righdenour and Lewis Harold Vance in Beattie, KS. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1936. She attended Mesa Community and Stevens-Henager Colleges. She retired from the State of Utah after working for the State Tax Commission and Job Service.

She married Oliver "LaMar" Wright on May 3, 1942 in Cheyenne, WY. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 3, 1961. They had four children, Janet May (Mont) Pullan, Taylorsville, UT, Kenneth LaMar (Gail) Wright, Portland, OR, Becky Lyn (John) McKenzie, Yuma, AZ, and Julie Ann (Gordon) Pond, Cassville, MO.

She is survived by her brother William Vance, her children, 9 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband LaMar, brother Lewis, sister LaVonne and son-in-law John.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd (10600 South) Sandy, UT. Viewings will be held Sunday evening from7-9 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
