In Memory

Sheila Wood (Cleary) - Class of 1965

Sheila Wood Cleary, age 70, passed away on November 23, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

She was comfortable in her home with her family by her side, and with the love of her great-grandchildren, Payton and Burkley. Sheila was born to the late Margie Nicholls in Tremonton, UT. on April 21, 1947.

She was the second oldest of four children. Sheila lived in Bear Lake where she attended school and met the love of her life, Herbert F. Cleary; they were married in 1965 in the Logan temple. They then brought three children into the world, two sons and one daughter.

Sheila and Herb were married 50 years when she lost the man she loved. She worked many years in the Montpelier community where she made many friends and was everyone's second mother. After many years in the Bear Lake valley, they decided to move to Mesquite, NV, where they made a new home for themselves. Sheila found her dream job of working in a local casino calling bingo for more than 10 years. She instantly made many more friends. After retirement, Herb and Sheila decided to come back to Bear Lake to help take care of family because that is what meant the most.

She enjoyed doing yard work, fishing with her husband, doing crafts, bowling in her younger years, taking care of her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was everyone's rock and shoulder for everything. She would never say no to anyone; her family was her world.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Cleary, parents Margie and Charles Nicholls, brother Bruce Wood, and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children Kellie (Paul) Wilson of Montpelier, ID., Travis (Tonia) Cleary of Montpelier, ID., Ryan (Jim) of Aurora, CO., two brothers, Chad and Gaylen Wood, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at the Ovid Cemetery on December 2nd at 11 a.m. with a luncheon after the services at the Montpelier Stake Center. Friends and family are welcome.
