Betty Rae Pugmire Bronson, 84, of Idaho Falls, and formerly of Goshen, Idaho, passed away August 11, 2017, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community. She was under the care of One Source Home Health & Hospice. She was born January 1, 1933, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Ray and Lorena Pugmire. She spent her youth in Montpelier and Georgetown, Idaho, picking strawberries and raspberries.

She married Doward Bronson on June 25, 1951, one month after high school graduation in Montpelier. On August 18, 1952, they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple forming a forever family. After moving around east Idaho for a few years, Betty and Doward settled in Goshen for the next 50 years to raise the family.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities, but her love was for children and she served in the Primary for many years.

Betty enjoyed square dancing, canning, camping, bowling and time with her grandkids.

Betty and Doward raised three daughters and two sons. She is survived by Debbie Boyle of Shelley, ID; Terresa (Fred) Chamness of Kissimmee, FL; Joe (Terri) Bronson of Arco, ID; Bryce (Jill) Bronson of Ammon, ID; and one brother, Gerald Pugmire of Ogden, UT.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, daughter JaNell, and granddaughter Cassidy.

Additionally, the family would like to express their appreciation to the employees of OneSource Home Health & Hospice and Lincoln Court for their compassionate service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the Idaho Falls LDS 24th Ward, 1155 First Street. The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
