Shelley Solum (Purrington) - Class of 1970

 

Shelley departed this earthly existence on the morning of June 15, 2018 at the age of 65, surrounded by loving family members at her side. Shelley had valiantly battled multiple serious medical conditions for several years. She was born on September 14, 1952 to Ruby June Johnson and John Russell Solum in Montpelier, Idaho. She married David L. Purrington on August 20, 1971. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Shelley's joys in life included being with her children, grandchildren, family and friends and she looked forward to the adventures of camping and motorhome trips. She served faithfully in multiple callings in her LDS Ward. Shelley is survived by her husband Dave; daughter Brittany Wilbur (Cade); son Jason (Callie); sister Lorna Fannin (Gary); brothers Blaine, Brad (Janet); 8 wonderful grandchildren and 1 soon to be delivered grandson.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary prior to graveside services.
