Kevin Bissegger - Class of 1969

Kevin D Bissegger was born on April 2, 1951 to Rex and Barbara Bissegger.  He passed away on July 9, 2014 in Provo, Utah from medical complications.  Kevin was born and raised in Montpelier, Idaho and graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1969.  He lost his father as a young child and his mother remarried Clyde Freeman, who helped raise Kevin.

After high school, he served a mission in Germany for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and then attended BYU, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising.  While at BYU, Kevin met Teresa Melendez and they were married in 1972 in the Provo Temple.  They had two daughters, Lacy and Summer.

Throughout his professional career, Kevin worked as the program director at two radio stations, including KBER, and wrote and produced advertisements for several other radio stations.  He eventually opened his own advertising business, TKO Advertising, and later, KO Advertising.  In the summers, he travelled around and helped out with the City of Fun Carnival, Teresa’s family’s business.

Kevin had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around.  He was a world traveler, having visited China and countries throughout Europe.  He was a life-long BYU fan and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He had unwavering devotion to his family and had a special relationship with his five grandchildren.   He especially enjoyed working with and coaching his grandsons in little league football.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Rex Bissegger and his step-father, Clyde Freeman.

He is survivied by his mother, Barbara Freeman; his wife Teresa Bissegger; two daughters, Lacy Kassuhn and Summer Bissegger; five grandchildren, Tasha Bissegger, Noah Bissegger, Jayce Bissegger, Samara and Breanna Kassuhn; two brothers, Jerry Bissegger (Diana) and John Bissegger (Marilyn); and one sister, Jan Sellers (Kim).

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lakeridge Fifth Ward Chapel, 950 South 50 East, Orem, Utah with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Montpelier Idaho City Cemetery, Tuesday, July 15, 2014.at 1:00 p.m.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
