Mary Perkins (Preston) - Class of 1934

Mary Katherine Perkins Preston, 52, died in St. Anthony Hospital In Pocatello September 24, 1970 after a long illness. Mrs. Preston was born on October 5, 1918 in Montpelier, the daughter of William Lewis and Edith Susan Downing Perkins She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1934. She was married to Owen Emmitt Preston on June 12, 1937 in Soda Springs. They made their home in Geneva until 1942 when they moved to Nampa. They returned to Geneva in 1950 where they had since resided. She was a member of the LDS Church. Mrs. Preston is survived by her husband and six children, Mrs. Edith Miller of Cove, Utah; Staff Sergeant Marion Preston in the Air Force; Lee Edwin Preston, Raymond Preston, and Charlotte Preston, all of Geneva; and Jack Preston of Pocatello; and three brothers, John L. Perkins and Richard B. Perkins, both of Montpelier, and Marion L. Perkins of Twin Falls. Services in the Geneva Ward chapel on Monday at 1 p.m., followed the family prayer by Raymond Preston; Margaret Widmer played prelude and postlude music.
