Dorothy King (Healy) - Class of 1924

Funeral services were conducted Saturday in Downard Chapel in Pocatello for Dorothy Eleanor King Healy. The Rev Jo Austin Lininger of the First United Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Mrs Healy, 81, died in St Anthony Hospital February 8, 1967 after a long illness. The daughter of Dr. Harry H. and Annie Lowrie King, she was born November 24, 1905 in Pocatello. She lived during her early life in Montpelier, graduating from Montpelier High School in 1924. She attended the University of Wyoming and graduated from Idaho State University S. B. She taught in the Pocatello school system from 1930 until 1984, when ill health forced her retirement. She married William Lyon Healy on June 11, 1932 in Logan. She was a member of the Pocatello Women's Golf Association for many years, and Ruth Chapter No 3, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband; one son, Dr. Michael L. Healy of Seattle; one brother, D. L. King of Montpelier; one sister, Mrs E. E. (Frances) Bennett of LaGrande, Oregon; and two grandchildren.
