Ruth Jones (Brough) - Class of 1918

Ruth Margaret Jones Brough, 74, Salt Lake City, and former resident of Montpelier, died in a Salt Lake hospital July 9, 1975 after a sudden illness. She was a long time music patron, a supporter of opera in Utah. While living in Montpelier she was the youngest organist of the Bear Lake LDS Stake. A member of the Emigration DUP Camp. She was born In Montpelier September 28, 1900 to John Joseph and Sarah Elizabeth Severn Jones. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1918. She married Harry Russell Brough June 28, 1920 and moved to Salt Lake in 1922. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nancy B. Brooks, San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jean J. Brown, Kensington, Md., and Virginia J. Hughes, Salt Lake City; and a brother, Joseph S. Jones, Salt Lake City. Graveside services were held July 12, 1975 in the Wasatch Memorial G
