Blanche Alice Schmit was born in Dingle, Idaho February 22, 1900 the daughter of Matthais and Lydia Ann Nate Schmit.  She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1917.  She married Harold Leslie Short January 30, 1918 in Salt Lake City.  She died April 14, 1977 and was buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
