Gilbert Moore Lindsay of Coronado, Calif., age 76, died peacefully in his sleep on Feb 4, 2008, while visiting his son and family in Mission View, Calif. Moore, the name he preferred to go by, was born and raised in Dingle, Idaho, the son of James Clarence and Mona Bagley Quayle. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1949. Moore was a retired pilot and captain in the Navy, serving 30 years, and was Director of the National Aviation Club in Washington DC. Survivors include his wife, Marianne Garman, of Washington DC; sister Gloria Ennor of Palm Desert, Calif.; son, Michael Lindsay; and two grandchildren, Jarad and Conor Lindsay of Mission View, Calif. A memorial service was held Feb. 8, at McCormick & Son Mortuary at 25002 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, Calif.
