Ronald Jesse Reed, 69, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Missouri.

Ronald was born April 15, 1940 in Soda Springs, Idaho the son of Jesse Luther Reed and Irene Ellen Petersen. He graduated Montpelier High School and attended Idaho State University. He married Diane Mallory on June 28, 1962, they were later divorced. He then married Karen Swaner on May 17, 1969; she died on December 24, 2006.

He worked in the insurance, auto body repair and towing industries. Ronald loved fishing, boating and the outdoors. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his children, Michael (Nicole) Jamieson, Roy; Gwen (Craig) Christoffersen, Fielding; Matthew (Shanna) Parkinson, Laurel, Montana; Lisa (Doug) Hill, Ogden; Brenda Reed, Pleasant View; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, parents and a granddaughter, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1st , 11:00 a.m. at the Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden where family and friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
