Fay Munk (Donaly) - Class of 1934

Roberta Fay Munk Donaly died at her home in Porterville, Calif., Thursday, May 15, 1980,after a long illness. She was 64. A daughter of Lewis Edgar and Francis Wright Munk, she was born December 16, 1915, in Georgetown. She attended the University of Idaho and Albion State Normal, and was a graduate of Utah State University with a major in art. She also obtained a special education certificate at Fresno State University, Fresno, Calif.  August 9, 1940, she married Robert Dale Donaly at Georgetown. Roberta Fay taught school in Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and California. For 11 years she was psychiatric technician and teacher at Porterville State Hospital. She was a member of Porterville Art Association and won many honors with her paintings. Survivors include her husband and the following children: James Patrick, Vancouver. Wash.; Daniel Thomas, Belmont, Calif.; and Bonnie Louise, Lacey, Wash. She is also survived by two grandsons, Alan and David, one brother, Lewis E. Munk, Montpelier, and two  sisters, Mrs. Reed H. (Mildred) Jensen, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. John E. (Lillian) MeDonald, Lakeview, Ore. Two sons, Edgar Munk and Samuel Harley, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held in Loyd Funeral Chapel at Porterville Monday, May 19.
