Paul Einzinger - Class of 1947

Paul R Einzinger, 84, passed away at Pacific Coast Manor in Santa Cruz, California January 10, 2014 where he was convalescing  after suffering a broken hip from a fall he had.  He was born May 22, 1929 in Montpelier to Joseph and Hallie Twilis Einzinger.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1947 where he was active in music and sports.  He was a "jack of all trades" and worked at any job he was offered.  In 1951 the Army called him to serve in Korea for two years.  Upon returning home he worked for Coca Cola Co. in Pocatello and met his future wife Helen (Mickie) Archibald.  They were married September 24, 1955 in San Jose, California where they made their home until 1997.  Paul worked at many jobs but was finally employed by Lockheed where he had a highly-top-secret position.  They lived in several different communities in California.  His most important hobby was being a jazz saxophone player.  In high school he played with a local jazz band comprised primarily of his classmates.  He played professionally for a jazz group in California and even produced CD's of their music.  He was a member of the LDS Church.  He is survived by a son and several grandchildren.  Interment was scheduled for Pocatello at a later date.
