Vera Toomer (Pendrey) - Class of 1920

Verda Maud Toomer Pendrey, 90, died March 2, 1992 in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital.  She was born January 16, 1902 in Montpelier to Charles Herbert and Maud Richards Toomer.  She married Warren Scott Pendrey on April 30, 1923 in Paris, Idaho.  Their home was in Montpelier except for the few years they lived in California.  She attended a business college following high school and when she returned home she went to work as a secretary in a local bank.  In 1954 her husband constructed the Three Sisters Motel and they were engaged in that business until her sons came and closed the business.  She is survived by two sons and several grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
