Lowell Elmer Stevens, 59, died June 12, 1986 Saturday at Pocatello Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 19, 1927 at Bloomington, to Alvin Elmer. and Martha Madsen Stevens.  He married Evelyn Lee Smith and they were later divorced.  He then married Iona Libby Kunz.

He served in the U.S. infantry and the U.S. Air Force. He worked for many years as a conductor on the railroad.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Nancy E.) Hale, Paris, and one brother, Leon Stevens, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services were Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Matthews Mortuary Chapel in Montpelier. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
