In Memory

Dorothy Steed (Beyeler) - Class of 1940

On a beautiful Spring morning, April 6, 2000, our beloved mother and "Matriarch" of the Beyeler family passed away. She is now with her family, friends and most importantly her husband, Lynn.

Dorothy Steed was born in Auburn, WY on June 30, 1921 to Harvey Hanna Steed and Phyllis Horn. She married Lynn C. Beyeler on March 15, 1942 in San Diego, CA and later relocated to Salt Lake City.

She was a homemaker, partner in the family business and counselor to us all. We will miss her strong opinions, humor and deep love, but no, we will see her again. She instilled a special happiness, warmth and drive in all of us.

Dorothy is survived by three children: Karen Carmack (Neil), Centerville, UT; Mike Beyeler (GiGi), The Woodlands, TX; Vickie Gooch (Robert), Orem, UT; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and "Boss", her constant companion and family dog. Preceded in death by her brother, Velman Steed.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2000, 11:00 am, at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT. Friends may call Sunday, from 5-7 p.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary and on Monday for one hour prior to the services.

Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: Holbrook Mortuary.
