Gweneth Anita Jones Shepherd, 86, of Pocatello, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 at a local care center. She was born June 26, 1917 at Montpelier, Idaho to William and Susan Johnson Jones. She married Luther Shepherd November 28, 1936 at Montpelier. He preceded her in death June 1987. 

She enjoyed bowling, fishing, bridge. She was the Secretary of the Seniors Bowling League. She was an officer and member of Grand Lodge of Ladies Aux. of United Transportation Union. She also had worked as a volunteer for March of Dimes and Voter Registration.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Luther (Ellen) Shepherd of Blackfoot, Donald Lee (Nancy) Shepherd of Pocatello, and Kent Jon (Gwen) Shepherd of Aurora, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther, her parents, and 3 brothers.

Memorial services will be Monday, August 11, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. in the Henderson-Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Cremation has been completed.
