Betty Alice Parker, daughter of David G. and Ivy Jensen Parker was born February 8, 1950 at Lanark.  She completed three years at Fielding High School and in 1968 was a member of the first graduating class from Bear Lake High School.  While in high school she was active in seminary, band, chorus and pep club.  She was a member of the National Honor Society and served as vice-president of her freshman class and secretary of her junior class.  Following graduation from high school she enrolled for summer session at BYU in Provo.  On May 28, 1969 Alice and her brother, Melvin, both students at BYU were returning home to their home in Lanark when a pickup pulled across the road into their lane of traffic.  The Parker car hit the pickup broadside throwing Miss Parker against the windshield resulting in severe head injuries.  Miss Parker was taken to Logan and then to Ogden where she died minutes after arrival.  She is survived by her parents, four brothers and one sister.  Funeral services were held at the Liberty LDS Ward Chapel.  Interment was in the Liberty Cemetery.
