Stephen Piggott - Class of 1973

Stephen James Piggott, 24, died Friday, June 29, 1979 near Bloomington.  He was born October 18, 1954 in Logan to Thomas T. and LaRue Thornock Piggott.  He was educated in local schools and graduated from Bear Lake High School.  While a junior in high school, he was chosen as an outstanding student-citizen and had the opportunity to tour Europe with the "People to People" educational group.  He continued to be an active participant in the group.  He attended BYU in Provo for one year before being called to serve as a missionary for the LDS Church in the New York-New York mission.  After returning home he continued his education at BYU majoring in accounting.  He was a member of the acapella choir and was completing his senior year.  He enjoyed music, the arts, reading and studying.  He is survived by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.  Funeral services were held in the Paris Stake Center.  Interment was in the Bloomington Cemetery.
