Janet Wuthrich (Stuart) - Class of 1969

Janet Wuthrich Stuart, 58, loving wife, mother, grandmother, passed away on August 23, 2009.Janet was born on January 7, 1951, in Montpelier, Idaho to Farrell and Hariett Wuthrich. She was raised in Montpelier with four sisters and two brothers. She was very active in school and graduated from Bear Lake High School. Janet's love for art started at a very young age. She studied art at the University of Utah under the direction of many well known artists. Her passion was watercolor. Janet won many prestigious awards both locally and around the Intermountain West. Her watercolors were inspired by the landscapes of the Bear Lake Valley. The artwork being displayed around galleries in Salt Lake City, Utah; Park City, Utah; Garden City, UT; Sun Valley, Idaho; and Las Vegas, Nevada. Janet also taught watercolor at the Petersen Art Center for many years. She enjoyed sharing her artistic talents, always giving her very best to whom she had the privilege to teach. Throughout her life, Janet found great happiness in spending time with her family. Especially in the summer at the Bear Lake house. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, going to the beach, painting rocks and picking huckleberries. She had a zest for life, and an infectious smile. She always noticed the smallest details in things around her. She was a great gardener and loved the mornings sitting in a chair out in her garden watching it grow. Her compassion, love, gentleness and strong spirit will forever be in our hearts. Janet married Glen Stuart on August 1, 1971. They had one son, Michael who was her greatest joy. Janet is survived by her husband, Glen; son, Mike (Brooke) Stuart; three grandchildren, Ambrey, Saige and Grayson; mother, Hariett Wuthrich of Montpelier, ID; sisters, Tonja (Doug) Carlsen, Paris, ID, Kathy (Gary) Carver, Montpelier, ID, Lori (Vaughn) Price, Rexburg, ID, Trudy(Dean) Burguyone, Anchorage, AK; brothers, Val (Kathy) Wuthrich, Hailey, ID and Bob (Pam) Wuthrich, Pocatello, ID; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death her Father, Farrell Wuthrich. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 27th at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, UT. Visitations will be held at the mortuary on Wednesday, August 26th from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment in Montpelier City Cemetery, Montpelier, ID.
