Arthel Kunz (Schutt) - Class of 1942

Arthel Kunz Schutt, 26, died on Friday, October 20, 1950 in the local hospital where on October 10 she gave birth to a son.  She was born on July 18, 1924 in Montpelier where she lived all of her life.  She attended elementary schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1942.  Besides her husband, William E. Schutt, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kunz; an infant son; two sisters, Merle and Nadine; and a brother, James Kunz; all of Montpelier. another brother, Ronald R. Kunz, is serving with the armed Forces in Mississippi, and a half-brother, Clarence Everton, resides in Ogden. Services were conducted at 2 p m Tuesday in Montpelier fourth ward with Bishop Eugene P. Shepherd officiating. The opening song, "Oh My Father", was by a quartet comprised of Mrs Eugene Shepherd, Mrs J. J. Sarbach, Lyman Berrett and Doyle Anthony with obligato sung by President Winslow Swensen, invocation, BIshop Robert Schmid, vocal duet, "In The Garden", Bishop and Mrs James Olsen, speaker, Bishop Royal D. Clark, organ solo, Wesley R. Baker, speaker, Bishop Alvin C. Tueller, vocal duet, "In The Garden of Tomorrow", President Swensen and Thomas Vaterlaus, benediction, Walter Buhler interment was in the Montpelier cemetery.
