Vera Dimick (Derricott) - Class of 1923

Mrs. Vera Dimick Derricott, 59, died in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital early on a Monday in January 1963 after a short illness.  She was born in Wardboro on January 6, 1904 the daughter of Albert and Ida Stuart Dimick and spent her early life there before moving to Montpelier.  She graduated from Montpelier High School and from the University of Utah in 1927.  She taught school in Pegram, Idaho before her marriage to James Rolla Derricott on December 7, 1929 in Pocatello.  The Derricotts have made their home in Montpelier since that time except for several years residence in Wyoming.  She was an active member of the LDS Church.  She was preceded in death by one daughter at the age of three on January 9, 1938.  Survivors include her husband, two sons, one daughter and four grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the Montpelier Second Ward Chapel.  Interment was in the Wardboro Cemetery.
