Verla W. Ravenscroft, 67, died May 20, 1977 at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital of emphysema.  Born October 4, 1910 in Osceola, Iowa her parents were Harry E. Wadsworth and Chattie Bond.  She married Chester H. Ravenscroft September 28, 1934 in Salt Lake City and he preceded her in death January 29, 1959.  She was a member of the Methodist Church.  She graduated from Montpelier High School and attended business college in Salt Lake City.  She and her husband lived and worked at Fort Douglas for a number of years and then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where they operated a spudnut shop and restaurant.  She then returned to Montpelier and worked for the Bear Lake School District for thirteen years. Survivors include one son.  Funeral services were held in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel.
