Nellie Dayton Ashcroft, 54, former resident of Montpelier died at her home in Idaho Falls after an extended illness.  She was born February 10, 1922 in Montpelier the daughter of George F. and Lillian Lewis Dayton.  She was reared in Montpelier and attended schools there.  On January 18, 1943 she married Theodore Blaine Ashcroft in San Diego, California.  After World War II they made their home in Montpelier until 1955.  From 1962 until 1972 they lived in LaHabre, California and have resided there since.  She was a member of the LDS Church.  Survivors include her husband, four daughters and six grandchildren.  Funeral services will be at the Downard Chapel in Pocatello.  Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
