Irene McLaughlin Hurd, 60, died Thursday, November 2 at Spalding Rehabilitation Center in Denver, Colorado.  She was a resident of Denver.  She was born October 28, 1918 in Montpelier.  She was educated in Montpelier and attended Idaho State University in Pocatello.  She was married to Richard F. Hurd in 1944 in Idaho.  Mrs. Hurd was a receptionist at AB Hirschfield Press in Denver for 17 years.  She was a past royal matron of Victory Court 2, Order of Amaranth, active in Bethel and the National Order of Job's Daughters and a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary.  Survivors include her husband, a daughter and two grandsons.  Funeral services were held in Denver.  Burial was in Mount Lido Cemetery.
