Judy Rae Paxman, 44, of Bountiful, Utah, died February 16, 1989 in Salt Lake City.  She was born May 13, 1944 in Montpelier to Ronald and Cerelda Abigail Payne Thornock.  She married Preston Lynn Paxman on September 18, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  She graduated from Montpelier High School where she was a member of the Homecoming Royalty and yearbook staff.  She was an accomplished pianist.  She worked for the Provo Daily Herald.  She was a contestant for Miss Bear Lake.  She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many capacities including Primary president, stake organist, MIA counselor, member of the Relief Society board and Primary organist and librarian.  She is survived by her husband, three sons and two daughters.  Services were held in the North Canyon Seventh Ward Chapel in Bountiful.  Interment was in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
