Neil H. Smith, 51, died Saturday April 8, 1989 of heart failure at the home of a son in Clifton, Utah.  He was born September 11, 1937 in Georgetown to James Neeley and Blanche Hayes Smith.  He married Evelyn Hennings in 1956.  They were later divorced.  He married Sandra Stoddard August 18, 1973 in Elko, Nevada.  He lived most of his life in Georgetown and lived in Battle Mountain, Nevada and various other places.  He graduated from Montpelier High School and attended Utah State University.  He was a member of the LDS Church.  He served as secretary/treasurer of the Republican Central Committee in Battle Mountain.  He worked as a ;mining engineer.  He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters and 13 grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at the Georgetown LDS Chapel.  Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery.
