Lamont King - Class of 1962

A. Lamont King, 47, formerly of Montpelier, died February 28, 1992 at the Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home in Logan following an extended confinement due to diabetes.  He was born July 25, 1944 in Montpelier the fifth child of Arvil Hayes and Alnora Lydia Simmons King.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1962 shortly before moving to Logan.  He married Bonnie Hickox on July 4, 1975.  They were later divorced.  He had a lifelong love of cars and worked at Checker Auto Parts until his illness forced his retirement.  He was a former president of the Bridgerland Early Iron Car Club and had been a member of the Cache Valley Cruiser's Association.  He is survived by his two sons.  Funeral services were held March 3 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel in Logan.  Burial was in the Logan Cemetery.
