Ross Parker - Class of 1930

J. Ross Parker, 83, died September 11, 1995 after a nine month struggle with cancer.  He was born February 26, 1912 in Bennington to Jared and Marion Lindsay Parker.  He grew up in Bennington and attended schools there and in Montpelier.  Ross married Esma Berrey of Wardboro on November 8, 1935 in Salt Lake City.  His occupations included farmer, rancher, highway patrolman, railroad fireman and security guard.  A lifelong member of the LDS Church Ross served as a missionary in Eastern Canada as Bishop of the Bennington Ward and for twelve years with Esma as ordinance workers in the Logan Temple.  Ross is survived by his wife, one son and five grandchildren.  Funeral services were held September 16 at 1:00 pm in the Bennington LDS Chapel.  Burial was in the Bennington Cemetery.
