Archie E. Homer, 83, died Tuesday, Nov 17, 1998, at Bannock Regional Medical Center in Pocatello. He was born August 20. 1915. in Dingle to James Edgar and Ida Bird Homer. He wo-ked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 44 years and retired in 1976. Archie is survived by his wife. Verda of Montpelier, three sons. Philip and Bernice of Halley, Id., Glay and Robyn of Montpelier and Rulon and Tauna of Farmington, Ut.; one daughter. Shiela and Spencer Hirschi of West Jordan. Ut.; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, one brother. Kenneth and Maxine Homer el Minidoka, Id.; and two sisters. Nellie Nelson of Montpelier, and Ada Gambling of Sharon. Id. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Delbert. Ray and Edward. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 21. Burial was in the Montpelier City Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of Montpelier.
