Mary Kay Sorgatz (Pendrey) - Class of 1944

Mary Kay Pendrey, 89, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the Gables Senior Living in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born on February 27, 1926, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Frank W. and Freda Hein Sorgatz. She attended AJ Winters Elementary and Montpelier High School in Montpelier, Idaho.

She married Clifford Scott Pendrey on December 23, 1944, at Bird Ranch in Montpelier. She worked for Atomic Workers Credit Union for four years and West Mark Federal Credit Union for twenty-seven years and retired from there.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She loved to go antiquing, play scrabble and read. She was a wonderful wife and mother, dedicated employee, joyful, humorous and a stylish woman.

Survivors include her three daughters, Mary M. Charboneau of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Katherine L. Reed of Ammon, and Liz A. (Michael) Dalessi of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sons, Frank S. Pendrey of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Patrick C. (Kathy) Pendrey of Ammon, Idaho; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, her sister Marjorie Jones, and her daughter Nancy Ann Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, Max Bird, officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
