Floyd Oliver, Jr. - Class of 1935

Floyd Parker Oliver, Jr., passed away September 5, 2014. He was born December 3, 1916, in Pocatello, Idaho to Floyd Parker Oliver and Winnifred Suzie Crawford Oliver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.

He married the love of his life Dollie Marie Hill on March 20, 1941, they were later sealed on December 10, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Floyd was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in many callings including serving a mission with his wife to Hilton Head, South Carolina from 1988-1991, and as a temple worker.

Floyd is survived by 2 daughters: Charlene (Robert) Williams of Orem, and Barbara Oliver of St. George, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; as well as 3 sisters: Ruth Teuscher, Barbara Larsen and Dorene Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife Dollie, daughter Nancy Lee Cluff, son-in-law Douglas Cluff, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral Services will be Friday, September 12, 2014, 11 am in the Provo Peak 6th Ward, 700 North 600 East. Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, or Friday morning from 10-10:45 am at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.walkersanderson.com.
