Elaine Perkins (Langford) - Class of 1939

Elaine Perkins Langford, a 46-year resident of Henderson, passed away Jan. 20, 2011, in Brigham City, Utah. She was born June 18, 1920, to Ira Ervan and Florence May Crumpton Perkins, in Bloomington, Bear Lake, Idaho. Elaine taught 22 years at C.T. Sewell Elementary in Henderson. She and her husband, Ronald J. Langford, were faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served three missions together. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Jefferson Langford; one sister, Ruth McLaws; and three brothers, Melvin Perkins, Gilbert Perkins and Gerald Perkins. Elaine is survived by her sisters, Virginia Mullin of Anderson, Mo., and Marie Paddock of Sequim, Wash.; brothers, Glenn Perkins of Pocatello, Idaho, Richard Perkins of Cokeville, Wyo., George Perkins of Keller, Wash., and Reid Perkins of Yakima, Wash.; daughters, Catherine Rhees of Henderson, Janet Hughes of Provo, Utah, and Norene Chiniquy of Concord, Calif.; sons, Gordon Langford of Magalia, Calif., and Richard Langford of Brigham City, Utah; 22 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Private services for immediate family will be held at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, in Las Vegas.
