Virginia Dimick (Collipriest) - Class of 1930

Virginia Dimick Collipriest, 85, died Wednesday, August 6, 1997 in Logan, 12 days after being diagnosed with cancer. She was born on November 6, 1911 in Warboro, Idaho the eighth of nine children born to Francis Alma Dimick (1870 - 1948) and Celia Alice Evans (1871 - 1962). She married her sweetheart, Richard L. Collipriest, MHS graduate of 1929, on August 3, 1938 in Soda Springs. They had two daughters, . Virginia's happiest moments were in the care and service of others.  After graduation from Montpelier High School she received her training as a registered nurse from William Budge Memorial Hospital in Logan.  She loved her profession and enjoyed caring for patients in the Montpelier area for over 40 years. The love of her life was Richard with whom she spent over 60 wondrous years.  She was a member of the LDS Church and the Hope Rebekah Lodge in Montpelier.  She had two daughters, Janet Collipriest (Peterson), MHS graduate of 1961, and Mary Lyn Collipriest (Rich), MHS graduate of 1965, and four grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Saturday, May 9 and were under the direction of Matthews Mortuary. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.

Her parents preceded her in death as did all eight siblings: Donald Alma Dimick (1898 - 1976), MHS graduate of 1917, Lillian Dimick (Sorenson) (1899 - 1981), Alice Elaine Dimick (Passey) (1901 - 1987), Emma Dimick (1903 - 1903), Evelyn Dimick (Horsely Mouritsen), MHS graduate of 1923, Raymond Evans Dimick (1907 - 1993), Kenneth Henry Dimick (1910 - 1977) and Ralph James Dimick (1913 - 1956).
