Helen Settle (Bird) - Class of 1932

Helen Grace Settle Bird, 85, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, of natural causes at the home of a son in Layton, Utah.

She was born November 14, 1914, in Kemmerer, Wyoming to William Eugene and Ella Harris Settle. She married Thaniel Bird January 7, 1933, in Paris, Idaho. He died on December 2, 1991.

She was a member of the LDS church. She was employed at Tri-State Bank for many years, at Allinger's Department Store and Rae's Elite Style Shope in Montpelier, Idaho, where she will be remembered for her cheerful and helpful service.

Helen is survived by two sons, T. Deverl (Renee) Bird of Montpelier, William E. (Ralene) Bird of Layton, Utah, and one daughter-in-law, Becky Bird of Sandy, Utah, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, one brother, Donald Settle of Santa Clara, Utah, two sisters, Maxine Hanson of Layton, Utah and Mary Rich of Paris, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Donald S., her parents, two brothers, Glen and Thomas, and two sisters, Peggy Bristow and Jeryl Sykes.

Funeral services were held April 1st. Burial was in the Montpelier City Cemetery.
