Francis Whinham (Poulsen) - Class of 1935

Francis Whinham was born to James Atchinson Whinham (1889 - 1984) and Rosella Grunig (1894 - 1970) on March 7, 1917 in Montpelier, Idaho. She married Rex E. Poulsen. She died on May 10, 1961 in Logan, Cache County, Utah. She was preceded in death by her sister Louise Sara Whinham (Lloyd) (1919 - 1958). She was survived by her parents and her sisters Lucile Whinham (Cook) (1913 - 1998), Virginia Margaret Whinham (Lewis) (1915 - 1979) and Shirley Whinham (Bartschi) (1925 - 2012) and a brother James Jesse Whinham (1932 - 2013). She was buried in the Smithfield City Cemetery, Utah, plot a_175_3.

Francis Whinham Poulsen, 44, former Montpelier resident and wife of Rex E. Poulsen of Weston, died Wednesday May 10, 1961 in the LDS Hospital in Logan. The daughter of James A. and Rosella Grunig Whinham, she was born in Montpelier March 17, 1917. She attended Montpelier schools and graduated from Montpelier High School. She was an active member of the LDS Church and worked in Relief Society and Primary. She married Mr. Poulsen June 22, 1937 in the Logan LDS Temple. After living at Sharon a short time the Poulsens moved to Smithfield, Utah and for the past 10 years she had resided at Weston. She is survived by her husband, five sons, three daughters and a granddaughter. Services were held in the Weston LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Smithfield Cemetery.
