Stanley Wilford Bergreen - Class of 1940

Dr. Stanley Wilford Bergreen passed away at his home in Lake Marcos, CA, on Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, after a brief illness. He was born on November 27, 1922 in Wyoming. Stanley is survived by two sons, Gary Bergreen of Corona, Ca., and Stephen Bergreen of Yucaipa, Ca.; one daughter, Barbara McBride of Portland, Or.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two aunts, Genevieve Kibby and Bernice Hansen of Montpelier. He was preceeded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Faye Goodsell of Logan; his father, Wilford Bergreen; and mother, Leona Kibby, long term residents of Montpelier up to the mid 40's. Stanley traveled through life from Montpelier through Utah State AG in Logan, medical school in St. Louis Mo., Bolling AFB in Washington D.C., Palo Alto, Ca., Hawaii and Los Angeles. He had been on the staff at St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood, Ca., and at the Downey Community Hospital in Downey, Ca. He had been in private practice in the Los Angeles area for many years. Funeral services were held Jan. 25, 1997. Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downy, Ca., was in charge of arrangements. Interment was at Rose Memorial Park in Whittier, Los Angeles County, California.
