Thomas Kvarme - Class of 1944

Thomas Kvarme, 58, died Sunday, July 1, 1984 at the Scenic Motel in Salt Lake City following a lenghty illness. He was born September 10, 1925 at Pescadero, Idaho,  to Torn Kvarme and Olga Marie Wickingstead. He was a member of the Montpelier High School class of 1944, although he did not graduate. He never married. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1948 then worked as a farmhand in Bennington and helped his brother, Bill Salveson, on his farm for 10 years. He lived in Bennington until 1976 when he moved to Montpelier. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. His last two years were spent in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, suffering from kidney and liver failure. Survivors include one brother, William Salveson of Montpelier. Funeral was held held Tuesday, July 3 at I p.m. at the Bennington LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Bennington Cemetery.
