Lynetta Kunz (Bingham) - Class of 1951

Marian Lynetta Kunz Bingham, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007 at her home. She was born on April 9, 1933 in Wardboro (Montpelier), Idaho to Martin M. and Genevieve Pugmire Keetch Kunz. Lynetta graduated with a Bachelors Degree at Utah State University. She married Robert J. Bingham, whom she met in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were married on June 26, 1959 in the Logan, Utah Temple. Together they established a business, Bil-Jac Pet Foods of Oklahoma in 1976. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she served tirelessly all her life. Her support of scouting helped dozens of boys earn their Eagle Scout Awards. Lynetta served with her husband, Bob, as Area Welfare Agent for both North America East and North America Southeast Areas based in Atlanta, Georgia from 2000-2002. In this assignment they were involved in humanitarian aid in the United States and the Caribbean. She had a love of genealogy, temple work, quilting, and embroidery. She most loved spending time with family. She had a loving and outgoing personality, extending her love and service to countless people. Lynetta exemplified unconditional love and encouragement. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Bingham of Cedar Hills; Lynn and Terry Bingham, Jeffrey, Brett, Darren, and Kelsey of Medina, OH; LuAnne and Scott Banks, Chase, Tanner, Alyssa, McKenna, and Dawson of Tooele, UT; Allen and Corina Bingham, Alexandria, Benjamin, and Stanley of Wadsworth, OH; Scott and Robyn Bingham, Ryan, Ty, and Grace of Nazareth, PA; Amy and Scott Jensen, Jessica, Connor, Brittany, Tyler, and Daniel of Highland, UT; sisters DoLores Manwaring of Blackfoot, ID; Jeanette Winter of Midvale, UT; and brother Delmain Kunz of Glendale, CA. She was preceded in death by daughter Lisa Kae Bingham, parents Martin M. and Genevieve Pugmire Kunz, brother Ferris M. Kunz, and sister Afton Bowman. Funeral services for Lynetta will be held Friday, May 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Hills 10th LDS Ward Chapel, 9737 North Chesterfield Drive, (4600 West) Cedar Hills, Utah. Interment will take place at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
