Marjie Hunter (Eborn) - Class of 1954

LANARK — Marjie Bernice Hunter Eborn, 74, passed away June 3, 2012, at her home in Lanark after a brief illness. She was born August 13, 1937, to Daniel Mark and Bernice Williams Hunter at Montpelier. She married J Toomer Eborn on October 15, 1954, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. 

Marjie was active in the LDS Church all her life. She served in many callings including gospel doctrine instructor, a position she held for several years, and Relief Society president. 

After raising her family, including Louise Conklin and Vernon Littlebird from the Indian Placement Program, Marjie returned to school and became an in-home health aide and later the WIC administrator here in the valley until she retired. 

She was a survivor of breast cancer for 25 years but was enduring Alzheimer’s, a disease that crippled what was once a sharp and keen mind.

Marjie is survived by her husband, J, of Lanark; and her six children, Dana, of Ogden, Terry (Rick) Lamm of Lanark, Richard, of Boise, Larry (Linda) of Lanark, Bernice, of Logan, and Harlan (Jessie) of Montpelier. She is also survived by her sister, Olive Kunz, Montpelier; 18 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Rickey Lamm. 

Funeral services will be held at the Liberty LDS Chapel, Friday, June 8, 2O12, at noon. Interment will be at the Lanark Cemetery.
